Gulfstream aerospace | Aircraft Change MAnagement

It’s no surprise that planes take many years to construct. In the time between when the sale is made and the plane is delivered, there could be a whole host of new gadgets and tech that you may want to put in your new plane! In order to accommodate this, we developed an application that organizes and tracks these changes. There were many groups involved that didn’t necessarily work well together in the previous Excel based system.

This project took about 6 months to research and design. I worked with a Business Analyst and developers to create over 40 detailed mockups to help illustrate and prototype this very complex process.

Landing Page Dashboard

This process required dozens of data points to be readily available and easy to process. I tried to lay things out in an organized, dashboard like view.

I tried to lay the data tables so they were clear and easy to read as they could have hundreds of items.

Going Deeper

Each item had an individual view with details, attachments and commenting.

Finance Friendly

This system was meant to be a place where different departments could work together, but this also meant they had their own needs and requirements.

We tried to give these groups the things that would help them get the most out of the application. Here we have a list of the work items organized with prices and totals for those that need that information.
